We are strong believers in making sure we comply with the latest property law and therefore we use the following bodies to ensure that we continue to adhere to the law.
The Property Ombudsman
We subscribe and uphold the principles set out by The Property Ombudsman; which settles disputes and legal matters between estate agents and the public. As registered members of this organisation we have follow the TPO Code of Practice for Residential Sales.
ARLA
As members of the Association of Residential Lettings Agents (ARLA) we are able to offer a superior service that is backed up by Client Money Protection (CMP) and protected by professional indemnity insurance. Our company accounts are independently audited every year, and regular training is completed to ensure the experience and skills of our staff are up-to-date. As members of a nationally recognised professional body for letting agents, we are able to understand and comply with complex legislative changes; as well as the professional standards of ARLA itself.
The Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS)
This scheme has been developed to ensure the protection of private sector tenant’s deposits ensuring that they are held, any disputes are resolved and therefore deposits returned in a timely manner. Belgarum again adhere to this practice and will place all deposits taken on behalf of landlords in this protected fund.
