Georgian Alresford is located seven miles North East of Winchester and was voted “Favourite Market Town” in the Southeast by Country Life. It has an array of regular and specialist shops, schools and businesses. The Watercress Line steam railway running from Alresford to Alton was named after the local watercress farming and is a popular attraction. Regular town events include a country show, carnival, music and Christmas tree festivals.
