Set in the heart of the village in a Conservation Area, 'The Old Audit House' is Grade II Listed and offers the best of village life with local amenities being a moments' walk from the doorstep, whilst being set back from the main road. A useful porch leads through to the entrance hall which doubles up as a dining room and immediately feels characterful. From here, steps lead down to the substantial cellar. Most unusual for a home of this size is the property's octagonal audit room which boasts a 4m high beautiful ceiling, a grand stone fireplace and a double heighted arched sash window. This room is used by the current owners as a living room however it is a truly special space which could work in a variety of ways depending on one's needs. To the left of the dining room is another reception room, currently used as a study, a utility room with a downstairs toilet and the kitchen/breakfast room. The owners have taken great care to renovate the entire property, whilst enhancing its history and character and it shows throughout each room.
Stairs rise to the first floor which comprises three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The principal bedroom is served by an ensuite shower room and benefits from a walk-in wardrobe. Two further bedrooms are served by the family bathroom.
Externally, the garden is mostly laid to lawn with a separate patio accessed from the kitchen and dining room, making it ideal for outside dining and entertaining. Conveniently, the property owns a piece of land just off Heathcote Place which is designated car parking, and which is accessed via a secure pathway which runs to the back gate of the garden.
